The death toll through September 8 is 294.
This includes 196 in Mississippi and 83 in Louisiana.
Sadly, the death toll is bound to increase drastically because the homes and buildings in New Orleans have yet to be searched because of the flood.
After the floodwater is pumped out, extensive searches will be conducted, and I do not want to even think about what the total can be.
We continue to pray for ALL of the survivors and hope that the number is on the low side of projections.
