I have received many e-mails from people who have lost pets, found pets, or
are concerned in some way about the animals who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.
So I would like to provide you with some resources to help you on this matter.
First, to all of the Hurricane Katrina survivors who have lost pets and are hurting because of that, God bless you. We love you. It is very painful to be separated from a pet, particularly in the disaster that we are in. Please understand that there are many good people who are working diligently rescuing pets, caring for rescued pets, and trying to locate the owners of those pets.
You are not alone.
